How the Hydrafacial works
A spiral tip works under controlled vortex suction. In one continuous pass it loosens and lifts dead cells, empties the pore of oil and debris without the pinching of manual extraction, and then pushes serum straight into freshly cleared skin — the moment it absorbs best. Every stage happens in the same session, which is why the finish is more even than a conventional facial.
What it improves
Congestion, blackheads and the dullness that comes from a build-up of dead cells. Dehydration, which in this climate affects oily skin just as much as dry skin. Rough texture, mild pigment and the general flatness that skin develops after long sun exposure. It is also the most comfortable option for skin that reacts badly to anything aggressive.
Session and recovery
Between forty-five and sixty minutes depending on the protocol and the boosters your skin asks for. It is a treatment people describe as pleasant rather than tolerable: cool, no pinching and no burning. There is no recovery at all — skin looks hydrated and even on the way out, and make-up the same day is fine. The device is the same everywhere; what changes is who chooses the protocol. Aurora picks the boosters after looking at your skin, not from a menu — a congested oily skin and a dehydrated post-sun skin get different serums, and paying for the wrong one is the most common way this treatment disappoints. Price depends on that protocol, which is why it is quoted after the assessment rather than published as a flat number.

Safety, side effects and aftercare
What to expect
Skin looks hydrated and slightly flushed on the way out, and the flush settles within the hour. Occasionally a small blemish surfaces in the following days where a pore was deeply congested — that is the extraction finishing its work, not a reaction.
When we don't treat
Not performed over active cold sores, open lesions, sunburn or an active skin infection. Active inflammatory rosacea and severe cystic acne are assessed first — the protocol changes, and sometimes another treatment comes first. Some boosters are avoided during pregnancy.
Aftercare
Nothing restrictive: SPF 50 as always, and skip acids and retinol for forty-eight hours to let the serums do their work. Sea and pool the same day are fine if there is no active extraction site.

Frequently asked questions
Is it the same as a normal facial?
No. A conventional facial cleans manually and finishes with a mask; the Hydrafacial cleans, exfoliates, extracts and infuses serum through the same tip, under vacuum, without manual pinching. The difference shows most in comfort and in how even the finish is.
Why is there no published price?
Because the protocol and the boosters change what is actually done. Publishing a single figure would mean either overcharging simple skin or under-quoting skin that needs more. It is quoted at the assessment, which costs nothing.
Can I do it while on holiday?
It is one of the few treatments with no restriction at all: no peeling, no downtime, and you can be in the sea the same day with proper SPF.
How often should I repeat it?
Monthly maintenance keeps congestion and hydration under control. As a one-off before an event, it does its job on its own.
