How the Endolaser works
After local anaesthetic, a micro-fibre enters through a single point that needs no stitches. The laser emits from the tip, directly in the subcutaneous plane, where it does two things at once: it liquefies small pockets of localized fat and it heats the underside of the dermis so the tissue retracts. Working from below is the entire advantage — surface devices lose most of their energy crossing the skin before reaching this layer.
What it improves
The submental area, which is the reason most people ask about it: a soft double chin with skin that would sag if the fat were simply removed. Early jowls along the jawline. Localized laxity on the inner arms and inner thighs. It is a contouring treatment for defined pockets, not a weight-loss procedure — and if what you are describing is generalised volume rather than a localized pocket, it is not the right answer.
Session and recovery
Forty-five to ninety minutes depending on the area, under local anaesthetic; you are awake and comfortable throughout. A compression garment is worn for the first days. Expect swelling and some bruising for one to two weeks — the submental area in particular looks worse before it looks better, and planning around that is part of the decision. The entry point closes on its own. The final contour settles across three months as the retraction completes.

Safety, side effects and aftercare
What to expect
Swelling that peaks around day three, bruising that resolves across one to two weeks, and temporary numbness or firmness in the treated area for several weeks as tissue reorganises. Mild tenderness when opening the mouth if the submental area was treated.
When we don't treat
Not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over active infection, with uncontrolled clotting disorders or on anticoagulant therapy without medical clearance, or where the fullness is not the kind this treatment addresses. Significant excess skin is a surgical question, and we refer rather than attempt it.
Aftercare
Compression garment exactly as instructed — this shapes the result as much as the laser does. No gym, sauna, sea or pool for two weeks. Sleep with the head slightly elevated the first nights. Keep the entry point dry and clean until it closes.

Frequently asked questions
Is it surgery?
It is a minimally invasive procedure under local anaesthetic, not a surgery under general. There is an entry point but no incision to close and no stitches. That said, it sits closer to a surgical treatment than anything else offered here, and the recovery reflects that.
Can I do it while travelling?
Only with planning. Swelling and bruising last one to two weeks and the compression garment is not optional. It fits a longer stay or a trip home, not a five-day holiday.
Will the fat come back?
The fat cells removed do not return. Significant weight gain afterwards will change the area, as it changes every area — the result holds when weight is stable.
Why not just do HIFU?
HIFU tightens but does not remove fat. If the issue is a genuine fat pocket, tightening the skin over it will not produce the contour you are after. The assessment decides which of the two applies to you.
