Why we price per unit, not per area
Two models exist in Mexico. A flat rate “per area” is easier to advertise, but it hides the dose: two patients paying the same for a forehead can receive very different amounts of product, and the clinic has every incentive to inject as little as the price allows. Pricing per unit puts the dose on the invoice — you see how many units you received and of which brand, and you pay for those and nothing else. Come back in four months needing less, and you pay less. At $125 MXN a unit (about $7 USD) we also sit below the $12–$20 USD per unit that is common in the region.

IV therapy and hyperbaric oxygen start at $4,500 and $1,500 MXN respectively. Botox is quoted per unit of product; everything else is per session or per syringe. What a suspiciously low price usually means
Prices well below the range on this page exist in the region, and they are usually explained by one of four things: the product is diluted beyond what the manufacturer specifies, so fewer real units are doing the work; the brand is one without traceable origin; the vial is being shared across patients over days rather than used and discarded; or whoever is injecting is not the person the marketing implies. None of those is visible in the result on day one — they show up as a result that fades in six weeks, or as a complication nobody is equipped to manage. The questions worth asking any clinic are the practical defence.
The costs beyond the injection
A quoted price should include the consultation and the two-week review, and here both do. What varies between clinics is whether a touch-up at that review costs extra, whether a follow-up question over WhatsApp is answered at all, and whether a complication would be managed by the clinic or handed to you. Those are not line items on a price list, but they are part of what you are paying for. Ask about the review appointment specifically — a clinic that does not schedule one has no mechanism to correct an asymmetry, which is the most common thing that needs correcting.
