Getting Botox on Vacation in Tulum

Treating travelers is our specialty. Here is how to fit Botox into a Tulum trip without it costing you a single beach day.

Book it for the start of your trip

The single best piece of advice: schedule your appointment for the first day or two in Tulum, not the last. Botox starts working around day three and reaches its full result at day ten to fourteen. If you treat early, you get to see the result settle while you're still here — and if you'd like a tiny adjustment, we can do it before you fly home.

There is no downtime — really

Botox is not a procedure you recover from. The appointment takes 15–20 minutes, and you walk out and carry on. There are a few simple rules for the first hours: stay upright, don't rub the treated area, and skip intense exercise, sauna and steam for 24 hours. That last one matters in Tulum — save the temazcal and the hot yoga for the next day.

Sun, sweat and the beach

Sun exposure with SPF is fine after 24 hours, so your beach plans are safe. Heavy sweating right after treatment isn't ideal, so if you've booked a cenote swim or a long bike ride, put it on a different day than your appointment. None of this is dramatic — it's the same aftercare you'd follow anywhere, just worth planning around a packed itinerary.

Can I fly after Botox?

Yes. There is no medical reason to avoid flying after Botox — the cabin pressure myth is just that. We only suggest keeping the treatment a few hours ahead of a flight so you're not tempted to nap face-down or press against a window right after.

Why a Tulum clinic that knows travelers matters

Patients fly to us from the United States, Canada and Europe, so our whole rhythm is built around a trip, not a monthly local visit. We confirm by WhatsApp, we're in Tulum Centro with parking at the door, care is bilingual, and we follow up after you've flown home — if anything needs attention, you're not left guessing from another country. Aurora Estrada has done this for more than 20 years, with a conservative style that keeps your face looking like yours in every vacation photo.

Frequently asked questions

How soon before I fly home should I get Botox?

Ideally three or more days before, so you can see it start to work and we can fine-tune anything at a quick review. But same-day flying is medically fine.

Will people be able to tell?

With conservative dosing, no. You'll look rested, not done. The full, natural result lands about two weeks in.

What if something looks off after I've left Tulum?

We follow up by WhatsApp. Minor asymmetry usually settles or is corrected at a two-week review; we'll advise you wherever you are.
