Why the first visit is a conversation
Most people arrive at an aesthetic clinic with a treatment already in mind: “I want Botox,” “I want my lips done.” Sometimes that is exactly right. Often the useful part is everything that comes before the syringe: what bothers you, what you would like to keep, how much time you have and what you want to spend. That is why the first visit at Coconut Botox Tulum is an assessment, not a treatment, and why it is complimentary.
If you are searching for an aesthetic clinic in Tulum and want to know what you are walking into, this is the whole appointment from the front door to the written plan.
Before you arrive
Every consultation is by appointment. You book through the online calendar or by WhatsApp at +52 984 183 1328, and you receive a confirmation and a reminder before the day. The clinic is at Av. Tulum, Libra Sur, Local 2, in Colonia Centro, with parking at the door and easy access from Aldea Zama, La Veleta and the Hotel Zone. Hours are Monday to Friday 10:00 to 19:00 and Saturday 10:00 to 16:00.
The appointment is private: a private entrance, one patient at a time and no overlapping appointments. Care is fully bilingual, English and Spanish, so you can explain what you want in the language you think in.

The first ten minutes: your goals
It starts with talking, not with a mirror. Aurora asks what you would change, what you would never change and what you have tried before. She also asks about your history and any medication you take, because both affect what is appropriate. This is where an expression line that bothers you in photos is separated from one that only bothers you in the bathroom light, and where “I want to look rested” becomes something specific enough to plan.
If you are visiting Tulum, say so and say for how long. Plans can be compressed into the days you are here, and some treatments are better placed at the end of a trip than the start.
The facial analysis
Next comes the analysis of your face itself: proportions, how the skin behaves, where volume has moved and where expression lines sit at rest and in movement. The point is to look at the face as a whole rather than as a list of areas. A tired look around the eyes can come from the brow, the cheek or the skin quality, and each has a different answer.
If you want a baseline measurement, the 3D skin scanner is available as a separate service at $1,900 MXN per scan. It photographs the skin under different light sources and maps sun damage, pigment, pores, hydration and wrinkle depth, in about 15 to 20 minutes including the review. It is an aesthetic diagnostic used to plan treatment and measure progress, not a medical test. It is optional.
Honest recommendations, including “not yet”
This is the part patients mention most. The recommendations come with real expectations: what a treatment can change, what it cannot, how long it takes to show and roughly how long it lasts. Sometimes the honest answer is to stage the work over several visits, to start with something smaller or to do nothing this season. You are not expected to book anything on the day.
If you already have a treatment in mind, the consultation is also where you compare it with the alternatives. For example, Botox and fillers solve different problems, and the four certified neurotoxin brands the clinic keeps behave differently once placed. Choosing between them is a decision made on your face, not from a menu.
The written plan
You leave with a plan on paper: which treatments, in what order, with how much time between them. Many guests pair injectables with IV therapy, or Morpheus8 with exosomes and a hyperbaric session, and the safe order and spacing are defined here rather than improvised later. The plan also says what to avoid before and after each step, so there are no surprises on the day.
What it costs, and what comes next
The consultation itself costs nothing. Treatments are quoted in Mexican pesos, and your exact figure is confirmed at the consultation. As a reference from the price list: Botox from $125 MXN per unit, hyaluronic filler from $6,500 MXN per syringe, Morpheus8 from $8,500 MXN, collagen biostimulators from $11,000 MXN and laser hair removal from $1,500 MXN per session. Some treatments, such as non-surgical rhinomodelation and NCTF 135, are priced at the consultation because the cost depends on how much product or how many sessions your plan needs. Cash in MXN or USD and cards are accepted.
If you decide to go ahead, treatment can often be scheduled afterwards. Guests who fly home keep in touch with the clinic by WhatsApp for aftercare questions.
Who you meet
You meet Aurora Estrada, derma specialist in cosmetics and aesthetics, with training in dermatocosmetology and more than 20 years of experience. Every plan is designed and performed by her. Her practice is the aesthetic care of skin: she does not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and anything that needs a medical assessment is referred to, or coordinated with, the appropriate healthcare professional.
How to get the most out of it
Come with a few photos of how you looked when you felt good, and a short list of what bothers you, in order. Bring the names of any treatments you have had before and any medication you take. Arrive without a heavy layer of make-up if you plan to do the skin scan. And ask the same four questions you would ask any clinic: who performs the treatment, which exact product or device will be used, what happens if something is not right and who follows up. There is more on this in how to choose a safe aesthetic clinic in Tulum.
This article is general information, not a medical assessment. Your suitability for any treatment is evaluated in person during your complimentary consultation, where we review your history and current medication. Anything requiring medical evaluation is referred to the appropriate healthcare professional.
Frequently asked questions
Is the consultation really free?

How do I book a consultation?
Through the online calendar on the website or by WhatsApp at +52 984 183 1328. All consultations are by appointment, and you receive a confirmation and a reminder before your visit.
Do I get a price at the consultation?
Yes. Starting prices are published on the price list, and your exact figure is confirmed at the consultation. Some treatments are quoted there because the cost depends on how much product or how many sessions your plan needs.
Can I have a treatment the same day?
The consultation comes first. If a treatment is part of your plan, it can often be scheduled afterwards; the plan sets the order and spacing, and anything that needs a medical assessment is referred to the appropriate healthcare professional.
