What regenerative medicine actually is
Regenerative medicine is the branch that works with the body's own repair and renewal processes through advanced biological therapies, rather than acting on the surface of the skin. At Coconut Botox Tulum it takes three forms, prescribed alone or combined: stem cells, exosomes and intravenous therapy with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. None of the three is sold off a menu — each protocol is built after a medical assessment, because the same infusion that makes sense for one patient is the wrong call for the next.
Stem cells and exosomes are not the same thing
Stem cells are cells with the capacity for self-renewal and differentiation; in regenerative medicine we work with biological products processed under strict quality standards, and the specific product used in your protocol is named and explained before anything is agreed. Doses run in three tiers and the price follows the concentration in a straight line: $20,000 MXN for 25 million, $40,000 MXN for 50 million and $80,000 MXN for 100 million. Exosomes are something else entirely — extracellular vesicles carrying proteins, lipids and growth factors, whose job is communication between cells rather than replacement of them. They come in 15, 25, 50 and 100 billion particle tiers, priced by concentration on the same logic and quoted at your assessment, and in aesthetics they are used to support repair and improve skin and scalp quality, above all after laser, CO2 or Morpheus8.
IV therapy and the hyperbaric pairing
IV therapy is the intravenous administration of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and nutrients selected per patient — vitamin C, B complex, glutathione, magnesium, zinc, amino acids and essential minerals, in the combination your assessment indicates. Thirty to sixty minutes in a comfortable room, supervised throughout. It is the layer people book for deep hydration, antioxidant support, energy metabolism, physical recovery after hard training or after an aesthetic procedure. Stem cell and exosome protocols are also offered as packages with hyperbaric chamber sessions: oxygen under pressure after regenerative work is the pairing this clinic is known for.
Regenerative medicine at Coconut Botox Tulum
Every patient starts with a full clinical history, a review of medical background and current medication, an evaluation of goals, a personalised recommendation, a detailed explanation of the protocol and follow-up afterwards. Aurora will also tell you what these therapies do not do: they do not stop ageing, they do not replace conventional medical treatment where that is what you need, and they do not substitute for food, sleep and training. Experience varies — some people notice hydration and wellbeing within days, other benefits appear gradually, and no specific result is guaranteed. Naming that is the difference between regenerative medicine and a regenerative promise.

Safety, side effects and aftercare
What to expect
Mild discomfort where the line goes in or where the product is applied. A cold sensation during the infusion. Light, passing fatigue. A small bruise at the vein. These effects are temporary, and the potential risks specific to your protocol are explained to you during the assessment, as with any medical procedure.
When we don't treat
Generally avoided or postponed in pregnancy, in breastfeeding depending on the assessment, with active infection, with serious decompensated illness, with a known allergy to any of the components, and with uncontrolled coagulation disorders. The medical assessment is not optional here — it is what makes the therapy safe.
Aftercare
Most patients go straight back to their day. Avoid intense exercise for a few hours after an infusion. Flying afterwards is fine, which is why international patients often do this during their stay in Tulum. Keep your hydration up, and follow the specific indications given for your protocol.
This page is general information, not a medical assessment. Your suitability is evaluated in person during your complimentary consultation, where we review your history and current medication. Anything requiring medical evaluation is referred to the appropriate healthcare professional.
Investment
PriceFrom $20,000 MXN for the 25-million stem cell protocol (~$1,150 USD)
The final figure is set during your consultation, once the areas and quantities you actually need are assessed — the consultation itself is complimentary. Cash (MXN or USD) and card accepted. The USD figure is a reference and moves with the exchange rate.
Frequently asked questions
Are the stem cells my own?
We work with biological products processed under medical and quality standards. Which product your protocol uses, and where it comes from, is explained in detail at your assessment — a clinic that will not tell you exactly what is being infused has already answered the question for you.
Are exosomes the same as stem cells?
No. Exosomes are vesicles that carry biological signals between cells; they do not contain whole cells. They work by transmitting information, not by replacing tissue.
Is IV therapy just a vitamin drip?
No. It is a personalised combination of nutrients, antioxidants and minerals administered intravenously according to what the patient actually needs, not a fixed formula poured for everyone.
Will these therapies stop me ageing?
No. They can form part of wellbeing and regenerative strategies aimed at supporting cellular health and complementing aesthetic treatments, but nothing here stops ageing, and we will not tell you otherwise to close a sale.
Can I exercise or travel afterwards?
Travel, yes. Intense exercise is best left for a few hours after an infusion. Everything else about your day can stay as it is.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes, and it usually is: CO2 laser, pico laser, Morpheus8, HIFU, collagen biostimulators, Botox and hyaluronic acid all pair with regenerative protocols. The order and the spacing are set at the assessment so nothing works against anything else.
